  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 carrot peeled, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stick trimmed, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 100 ml Chutney
  • 10 ml worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 packet beef soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese

  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 100 ml Chutney

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan
  2. Cook onion, carrot, celery and garlic, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened.
  3. Add mince, cook for 6 - 8 min or until brown and breaking up mince pieces
  4. Add tomato paste, tomatoes, oregano, chutney and 1/2 cup cold water.
  5. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 to 30 minutes or until thick.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water.
  8. Spoon sauce over pasta . Serve topped with cheese.
